Dr Dean Wright

Dean is a clinical psychologist and research fellow based at the Professor Marie Bashir Centre, University of Sydney. As a clinician-researcher he spends most of his time implementing novel treatments for people with difficult-to-treat depression, experiencing high levels of disability and disadvantage. He has helped implement Australia’s first public outpatient clinic offering ketamine for depression. He also leads a research project, co-designing and piloting a novel behavioural-focussed psychotherapy to help leverage the benefits of ketamine for this disadvantaged population.
