Dr Hasini Gunasiri

Hasini Gunasiri is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Youth Mental Health, University of Melbourne and Orygen, the National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health. Her research focuses on the intersection of climate change and youth mental health. Hasini is passionate about using evidence to inform public policy and community-led adaptation strategies. She employs mixed methods, co-design, and systems thinking in her work and is committed to research that is both youth-centred and action-oriented. In the future, Hasini hopes to extend her work to low-resource settings in South Asia, supporting equitable mental health responses to climate change.
