Avelyn (Wenyu) Zhou

Avelyn (Wenyu) Zhou is a PhD candidate at the University of Sydney, based in the Brain and Mind Centre. Her research focuses on identifying and analysing manipulative design features in online gambling platforms, and examining how these designs influence users’ cognition and behaviour. Her work adopts an interdisciplinary approach, combining insights from behavioural science, human-computer interaction, and public health to better understand how digital environments shape decision-making.
