Decadal Plan for Social Science Research Infrastructure launches
The Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia has launched an ambitious 10-year strategy for transforming national social science research infrastructure.
The Life Course Centre is a proud partner of Connected, Innovative and Responsive: Decadal Plan for Social Science Research Infrastructure 2024-33 which sets out a vision for a framework of connected and integrated social science researchers across universities, government research and data agencies, and private and not-for-profit organisations.
It was developed over two years and in consultation with hundreds of social science researchers, technical experts and stakeholder organisations. This included Life Course Centre Chief Investigators Professor Wojtek Tomaszewski and Associate Professor Francis Mitrou who were on the Steering Group, Chief Investigator Professor A. Abigail Payne was part of the Expert Working Group, and Dr Nikita Sharma and Josi Tabosa were both on the Project Team.
Life Course Centre Director Professor Janeen Baxter attended the launch in Canberra and was part of the roundtable workshop.
