Dr Shannon Edmed

Shannon is a research fellow with disciplinary expertise in health and psychology. She received her PhD from the Queensland University of Technology for a thesis that examined the social and psychological factors that influence protracted and complex recovery from concussion. Shannon has examined health and wellbeing outcomes in a range of populations, including children and adolescents, young adults, adults, and those with complicated health trajectories due to injury or illness. She has expertise in evaluation, survey design, and cognitive and neurobehavioral assessment. Shannon has a particular research interest in how physical and social environments influence sleep and wellbeing across the lifespan.
