Alysha Gray

Alysha is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Social Science Research and the Centre for Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course. She is currently working on her thesis with the guidance of Professor Janeen Baxter, Professor Fiona Barlow and Dr Rennie Lee. Her work aims to investigate gender inequality and family dynamics and explores the way romantic relationships interact with gender equality, through quantitative research methods. Alysha holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours from the University of Queensland. Her Honours thesis focussed on the lasting cognitive impacts of recovered Covid-19 infections. Prior to commencing her PhD, Alysha worked within the education sector, holding various roles that integrated research into practice with a focus on supporting youth wellbeing and inclusion.
