This project will use recently released and exclusively approved Australian multi-agency linked-administrative data to explore the effectiveness of various private health insurance policies. It will also examine the effects of purchasing private health insurance on health care utilisation. Anticipated outcomes from this project include providing a novel and more robust evidence base for policy discussions relating to the effectiveness of health policies and better health for all Australians.
