This event will be an open discussion on ways to harness the power of data to tackle poverty and disadvantage. We want to hear from you! As policy analysts, service providers and researchers, what are your biggest challenges and where are the potential opportunities for data and research collaborations to inform and shape decision-making?

The roundtable has been organised through the Breaking Down Barriers project at the Melbourne Institute: Applied Economic & Social Research in collaboration with the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course (Life Course Centre).
We will be presenting analyses from the Breaking Down Barriers project on communities, poverty, linking youth disadvantage to employment opportunities, and the link between poverty and social housing density. Members of the Life Course Centre will also be reporting on existing and emerging projects being undertaken to better understand and address disadvantage over the life course.
