Dr Rebecca Gelding

Rebecca Gelding completed her PhD in music cognition as a student member of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Cognition and Its Disorders (CCD) at Macquarie University, and worked as the CCD’s Outreach Coordinator in its final year. She has appeared on ABC Classic and the All in the Mind podcast, and her TEDx Macquarie University 2019 presentation “Unlocking the Music in your Mind” is featured on ted.com.

These experiences taught her that she prefers facilitating and communicating multidisciplinary research than actually *doing* research. She joined the Life Course Centre as the Sydney Node Administrator in March 2020 and loves to solve problems, learn new things and connect with people – all the while enabling research into deep and persistent disadvantage.
