Dr Athira Rohit

Athira is a Research Assistant working with the Child Physical Activity, Health & Development team. Her key areas of interest include Indigenous health, maternal and child health, and public health optometry. She is passionate about undertaking research that translates to long-term developmental health in children.  Prior to working at Telethon Kids Institute, Athira worked in several Maternal and child health research projects as a Senior Research Officer at Menzies School of Health Research, Darwin. Athira holds a PhD in Optometry from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Public Health from the Charles Darwin University.
